Brief History: 

This very unique 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo, designated as SJ87, was built to commemorate the racing legacy of Stefan Johansson, specifically his 1987 season with McLaren, from which the cars engine comes from. The entire car became his canvas and is adorned in his signature style from his "Memories of a Past Life" series, which are a series of abstracts created by Stefan Johansson. Drawing inspiration from his previous career as a Formula One Racing Driver, each painting is named after a corner or a section at various Grand Prix circuits around the world. For this special car Stefan used the color palette from his iconic helmet design worn during his McLaren racing days in 1987. The design includes the three shades of green from the leaves on his helmet, inspired by his father's nickname for him as a child, 'Little Leaf'. The blues and yellow are a nod to his Swedish heritage, while the red and white represent the iconic Marlboro sponsorship featured on both his helmet as well as the livery of his McLaren MP4/3, from which SJ87’s special 1.5-liter V6 twin turbo powerplant originates from.
